HGV Class 1 Driver Vacancy Temp to Perm vacancies. Magna Park, Lutterworth, Leicestershire

My Client is the approved logistics partner for one of the UK’s largest Supermarket Chains which has developed consolidated logistics centres in Hinckley, Lutterworth and Doncaster.

Ideally located in striking distance of the Key UK ports and more importantly the UK Retailer warehouses. Working 24 hours a day, 363 days a year. My Client moves goods into their Client on a Day 1 for Day 2 order lead time, seven days a week. My Client has a fleet of brand new vehicles with the right balance of economy and quality, and with multi-temperature trailers they offer the best conditions for the delivery of goods.

 

Job role will include: Average drop 1 – 3 deliveries/Collections per shift. Night Shifts available, 7 day a week operation. Full time permanent vacancies available.

Shift patterns; 5 on 3 off. Over time is available on rest days. 10-12-hour shifts on average however, it is possible to complete a 15 hour day.

Curtainside & Refrigerated vehicles. Delivery to RDC’s throughout the UK. Possible collections from the Clients suppliers. Mostly driving however, there will be a requirement to assist loading & unloading if required by the Clients Customers with the use of a pump truck.

Complete POD’s & Return them to the transport office. Ensuring goods are safely secured. Completing LGV vehicle defect and maintaining logs.

Exclusive of holiday

SAT £18.50

SUN £18.50

Overtime rates for extra shifts

MON – FRI £17.50

What we are looking for: A valid full category C+E Licence (Class 1) No LGV C+E Experience required we will accept new passes. No more than 6 points on driving licence. NO DR, IN or MS90 conviction codes due to insurance restrictions Minimum age 25 years due to insurance criteria Drivers will be required to have a good attitude and able to Work by themselves or with a team. Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Have good customer service skills and an eye for detail. Able to manage your time and deliveries well (avoiding infringements at all costs).
